This series will get to know some of the female idols or actresses who are girl crush material. A ‘girl crush’ is defined as a woman or girl who is the object of one’s admiration. In other words, one of the female K-Pop idols or Korean actresses that fans wish was their best friend or girlfriend. This can be based on their style, personality, overall vibe, etc. Check out the previous girl crush articles here. Make sure to keep an eye out for our “Boy Crush” series which also explores admirable Korean actors and male K-Pop idols. You can read the male version of this series here. Readers voted for LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura in our weekly poll (at the end of the article) to be featured this week. Before starting this week’s series, you can vote for who you want to see featured in next week’s article. If you would like to see a different idol/actress (not mentioned in the poll) featured in the series, please leave their name in the comments and we will add them to the vote over time. Important notice: the vote only decides who will be featured in the next article. Everyone in the poll will be featured in the series eventually. Suggestions will also be gradually added each week. Back to this week’s feature! Let’s get to know our girl crush, Sakura! Sakura is famous as a member of the fearless rookie sensation girl group LE SSERAFIM. She is also well-known for her days on “Produce 48” and as a member of IZ*ONE. Not forgetting to mention her days as a member of AKB48 and HKT48. Sakura is known not only for her shining talent but for her incredible work ethic. She has proven herself time and time again as an artist, pushing herself harder to make sure that her growth is appreciated. Despite having years of experience, her stellar mindset and determination to continue improving stay impressive. Sakura boasts stable vocals despite the intensity of the choreography that she has to perform. She has a melodic low-mid vocal range but also knows how to rock a falsetto note. Check out this live performance that particularly shows off her amazing vocal abilities alongside her talented members. Her dance lines are also ever-impressive each time you see them. She has a pretty figure that accentuates choreography perfectly and can pull off the precise balance of powerful and graceful mobility, too. Check out this fancam of her performing ‘ANTIFRAGILE’. Be aware that you will have it on repeat and won’t be able to simply watch it just one time, though. Not only is Sakura multitalented but she meshes well with any concept. Many are always fascinated by what a concept chameleon she is. You can even tell by the way that her Instagram aesthetic has evolved over the years. Throughout each stage of her life/career, each concept/aesthetic has suited her as if made just for her. Her aesthetic isn’t the only cool thing about her visuals, though. Sakura has fairytale visuals that almost seem unreal. Her charm is especially in her doe eyes and the unique and pretty shape of her ears. This uniqueness applies to her personality, as well. She is often described as someone with a four-dimensional personality and charm. Sakura is very independent and intelligent but also an overall lovable human being, who many can’t resist. There are more reasons to love her, but these were just a few. What do you think? Do you have a crush on Sakura?
